Pilsudskiego Park in Lodz

It was built on land that once belonged to urban forests. During World War I, the forest area was reduced from approximately 400 ha to 115 ha. The first concept of developing this area as a park came from 1904 and belonged to Teodor Chrzanski (creator of Poniatowski Park and Sienkiewicz Park), but it was never implemented. The park's development plans were changed many times by subsequent creators. The more significant designers include: Edward Ciszkiewicz, the Zajkowski brothers, E. Templin, but only Stefan Rogowicz created the final version of the plan. In all concepts, attempts were made to preserve the remnants of the remaining forest and designate areas intended for sports and recreation. The park has retained this character to this day.
