We climb the slope of the small Wine Hill, which now serves as a park, and the inhabitants of Zielona Gora rest on benches between the wine alleys. At the top of the hill there is the symbol of Zielona Gora - the frequently visited Palm House. Its history began in 1956, when a small greenhouse was added to the Winemaker's House on the hill. Initially, potted plants were grown here, but over time they were replaced by coconut palms, cocoa trees, and the largest date tree in Poland. The plants grew, and the Palm House had to grow with them - it was expanded 5 times. It's damp inside, stuffy and muggy.
